Zoos and other zany antics!!!

I hope that everyone enjoyed our family day on February 14. Thanks to everyone for the great goodies and the wonderful Valentines!!!
On February 15th, we celebrated 100 days of school and learnt that 100 is 10 groups of 10. We counted using both of our hands 10 times. We then created our own 100 day crowns.

We have been learning about animals in our classroom and this has kept us very busy. We painted our own classroom bear and we drew both an alligator and a bear in our very own zoo book.

Looking at the toy alligator and then drawing what we seen into our own "Zoo Books"

Everyone joins in to paint the classroom bear that we later stuffed with recycled paper!

Working hard to cut out our "March lions"

Painting our classroom lion.

Having a picnic on the carpet during centers

We were hoping that March would come in like a lamb but alas it came in like a lion...thus this prompted our making of "March Lions" this week. We have made our own individual lions and then painted a large classroom lion. Watch out for him on your next visit...grrr!
